A fun filled afternoon was had by all our families! Over 120 children and parents enjoyed the wet & wild themed activities on offer: water play, sinking and floating, boat building, face painting, tornado tubes, storm in a bottle, wet sponge throw, water pistols, printing with real fish, playdough, ocean matching game, magnetic fishing game, tim tam boats in jelly, prayer flags, dressups, puppets and storm collages!!
We then moved into the church for an interactive re-telling of the story in the Bible of Jesus calming the storm (complete with a big boat, blue fabric waves, flashing lights for lightning, fans for wind and thunder tubes). We learned that Jesus is our "lifesaver", sang songs and pegged our prayer flags onto a line at the front of the church.
We finished the night with hot chips, salad and fish fingers in the hall. During dessert we had our own thunder storm start outside!
