Messy Fun had by all!

About 60 kids and adults attended the first ever Messy Church event at Dapto Uniting - a fantastic time was had by all!

A wide range of activities were on offer including mask making, playdough animal farms, cupcake decorating, finger painting, beading, bubble fun, mural painting, outdoor games, finger puppet making, slime and jelly pig slops. A highlight for many was crafting our own little pigs out of pink plasticine, complete with googly eyes and curly pipe cleaner tails!

After our Together Time in the church learning about the story of the Prodigal Son, we all headed back into the hall for our celebration feast! We all tucked into our party dinner and enjoyed the culinary creations that the kids helped to make in the Messy Church Kitchen.


The evening concluded with a good old party favourite - a Pinata!

Oink! Let's get messy on May 22nd!

Not long now until Messy Church launches on Sunday May 22nd!

We will be having a 'piggy theme' to celebrate our first event! There will be heaps of art and craft activities available including fingerpainting, jewelry making, collage, clay, painting, puppet making and much more!

In the Messy Church Kitchen there will be cupcake decorating and cooking fun. There will also be some great games and messy challenges for those feeling a bit more active, and quieter activity stations for those kids wanting to chill and relax!

We will be learning about a story in the Bible of a son who runs away his family and ends up living with a bunch of pigs (and eating their sloppy food - eeeww gross!)
