Dapto Messy Church was held on Sunday 1st April 2012 at Dapto Uniting.
About 100 kids and adults enjoyed the variety of Easter themed activities on offer. These included: chicken marshmallow pops, egg dyeing, egg collages, shaving cream marbling, choco nests, Easter cup decorating, biscuit decorating, chocolate moulds, playdough, Easter bracelets, pop-up Easter cards, wooden Easter plaques, Easter gardens AND chalk drawing! Phew - what a lot of fun!!
We then moved into the church to listen to the Easter story and learn about how Jesus died for us on the cross. After singing and dancing to a couple of songs, we headed back to the hall for a delicious pasta bolognese, garlic bread and salad dinner. We ate hot cross buns for dessert!
We finished the evening with an INDOOR Easter Egg hunt due to the persistent rain!
